Vitamins & Glasses Could Help Safeguard Eyesight From Too Much Blue Light
A study released this month shows using tablets, ereaders and phones with LED screens at night can cause some people to have insomnia.
More worrying in the long term, however, is the increasing evidence that LED light could cause some people exposed over a long period of time to suffer age-related macular degeneration (AMD), the leading cause of blindness in the western world. While still preliminary, the research is cause for concern.
Editors Note
Research is in the very early stages and will take many years to reach any conclusions. Blocking all blues light will certainly upset circadian rhythms and cause more health problems. Lets hope that this does not get blown up by ill-informed people like the scare stories of the past around fluorescents and CFL’s.
