Welcome to Delight in Light 2014

‘Delight in Light’ was created by The Lighting Industry Association to encourage excellence in lighting design. This is a mutually beneficial situation for all. Firstly for the lighting industry which strives for excellence and the high quality design can provide.

Secondly the designers through a closer liaison with the industry and exposure at high profile events and of course thirdly the end users that will enjoy a better quality of lighting in their environment.

With over 70 designs submitted in 2013 and nearly 10,000 votes cast online, the ten finalists exhibited their designs at 100% design; where over 600 visitors voted for their favourite design.

The winner of Delight in Light 2013 was Ash Allen with an elegant and beautifully simple ceramic pendant design called Dollop.

Deadline for this year’s entries is 1 August 2014, but it is strongly recommended that designers submit ASAP to give their designs more exposure to the voting public. The winner will be chosen at 100% design, 17-20th September 2014, at
