Reuters Gets it Wrong On Philips
In an article about potential suitors for Philips Lighting, Reuters states: “Lattice Power, a small company which last year secured $80 million in funding by Asia Pacific Resources Development Investment, already has some connection to Philips, as it made James Haworth, a former Philips executive, the head of its U.S. operations.”
The problem is that Haworth is the co-owner of Pilipuf-Grist and no longer affiliated with Lattice Power. EdisonReport covered that story in December of 2014.
Our sister company EdisonReport.net, based in the USA, spoke to Jim yesterday morning from the Pilipuf-Grist office in Chicago and Jim said he was surprised as anyone to see the Reuters story.
Chinese LED startup Lattice Power, working with investors GSR Ventures and Singapore state fund Temasek, has expressed interest in the Philips business.
