Regional Marketer Lighting – Dow Corning

The Challenge

The jobholder develops an understanding of external markets in Europe, leads quality of market plan and value proposition development and execution for the lighting segment and drives growth in Europe to contribute to sustainable competitive advantage and business growth for Dow Corning.  He/she is the prime contact for all customer facing personnel in Europe for the lighting segment for new ideas, unmet market needs, market dynamics.

The jobholder works collaboratively with global segment marketer and other stakeholders to understand global priorities and directional strategy and to inform about regional market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze the local market for lighting, customers and the competitive situation, and proactively communicate the local needs and growth ideas to key stakeholders
  • Develop regional 4P plan and value proposition:  Responsible for regional market 4P plan for lighting in the context of local competitive environment and regional /market needs
  • Regional execution: Lead regional execution of market plan for lighting by closely working with cross-functional team in Europe
  • Innovation Portfolio: Works with regional sales team to develop business case(s) of innovation opportunities and regional growth portfolio to capture value and ensure sustainable growth of the Silicone business for lighting
  • Pricing: Responsible for determining the value proposition of the product and the local pricing guidelines
  • Promotion: Collaborates closely with the marketing communications team to develop detailed promotion plan for the region based on global promotion strategies, and supports promotion tactics implementation


The successful candidate:

  • Has a Master degree in Marketing
  • Has track records in industrial product marketing ideally in Lighting market
  • Has more than 3 years work experience in marketing in a B2B environment
  • Has relevant experience in B2B marketing and communications activities
  • Has experience and track record in developing strategies for new market segments
  • Has strong business acumen
  • Is able to work with global and multifunctional teams
  • Is result driven, flexible, strong negotiator, highly self-motivated, works independently, self-starter, well organized and structured work style.
  • Has excellent communication skills in front of internal and external audiences
  • Understands and knows how to use all promotion tools (digital and traditional) in a business to business environment
  • Has experience in working with external agencies
  • Is ready to travel up to 20% of his/her time
