Ready Steady Light

18th March, 2014.
Rose Bruford College, Sidcup, UK.

Every year the Society of Light and Lighting (SLL) teams up with Rose Bruford College to organize a fantastic opportunity for teams of up to 6 people to put their knowledge to the test and compete against other students and professionals in the ultimate task – Ready Steady Light.

Each team is assigned a randomly selected site on the  Rose Bruford College campus and given a set of equipment and a limited amount of time to compete for 3 prizes, Most Creative Effect, Best Technical Solution or the Peer Prize. It always proves to be a tough competition.

The Most Creative Effect will be judged on the use of natural features around the site by Judges from Rose Bruford College and will be sponsored by the International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD). The Best Technical Solution will be judged on the consideration of health and safety, light pollution and energy use by an expert SLL panel. The Peer Prize will be judged as the favourite of all the contestants.

The 2014 competition will take place on Tuesday March 18th following Junior Ready Steady Light on Saturday March 15.
