Quality Engineer of Ceramic Powder Metallurgy – GE Lighting
We are looking for a Quality Engineer for the Light Source Factory in Budapest, Hungary. A plant with approximately 1600 employees, producing a wide range of light sources.
Maintain and improve the Quality Management System. Keep the area continuous audit conformance
Coordinate all quality projects on the dedicated area, initiate containment and permanent corrective actions, track execution; be creative to come up with new ideas. Responsible to reach the quality targets: scrap, # of quality blocks, % of rework)
Maintain and control all technology and quality documentation, manage version control
Actively participate in Change Management Process
Prepare and collect quality records, analyse data
Use Statistical Process Control Tools like Minitab
Coordinate the work of quality controllers and final inspectors
Handle customer complaints, initiate containment and permanent corrective actions and adjust them to the Quality System. Metrics: # of complaints, PSO cost, response time
Handle customer documentation/specifications
Initiate and handle supplier complaints
Keep control on the calibration of all measurement devices
Regularly hold general quality trainings for the production staff (both quality and non-quality)
Chemist or BSc/MSc in Quality, Engineering or comparable technical curriculum
At least 3 years working experience
MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
Fluency in English and Hungarian
Working well in teams
Good communication and problem solving skills
Precise and independent working style
Strong process and result orientation and pro-activeness
