The Clean Energy Solutions Center, in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), is hosting a no-cost, webinar-based training on developing nationally appropriate mitigation action (NAMA) on efficient lighting.

UNEP offers policy makers and investors a guide on energy efficient lighting and its potential for rapidly reducing carbon emissions and delivering economic and environmental benefits through NAMAs. The panelists will describe the steps that developing countries can take to create the essential elements of a NAMA:

  • A national efficient lighting strategy
  • A detailed budget
  • A measuring, reporting and verifying scheme.

The panelists will also note how countries can submit their NAMAs to The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change NAMA Registry and promote their NAMAs to prospective funders.
