Memorial for Philip Gabriel set for 23rd September
I was deeply saddened by the news of the death of Phil Gabriel on August 9th. When I first moved to Canada he helped me to understand the similarities and differences between lighting design in the UK and North America. Not only was he a brilliant, creative lighting designer but he was also a very humble, kind and considerate man who had a great smile which you saw often. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.
A celebration of his life will be held on 23rd September 2014 at the National Gallery of Canada, 380 Sussex Drive, Ottawa.
