Marketing Specialist – Zumtobel

Amsterdam, Netherlands

As Marketing Specialist you will play a dynamic role on steering the marketing activities of Zumtobel Group in Amsterdam. Working collaboratively with the Headquarter’s Marketing Manager, you will be strategizing, planning and following up on various communications, trainings, workshops, road shows and sales promotions, with a keen eye for maximum return on investment via KPI driven marketing activities. You will also be in charge for managing the Amsterdam Light Centre as curator, ensuring the best quality and standards in line with the Zumtobel Group brand image. From time to time, you will be required to travel around Europe and other sales regions for promoting the business.

Among other related activities, you will be involved in the following tasks:

Editorial and design responsibility for the local newsletter, social media content management as well as maintenance and KPI tracking of the local website

  • Seeking co-branding opportunities with relevant brands and collaboration with educational institutions, A&D network for white paper research and trainings
  • Local contact for press & media (print and online) as well as project leader for local project references – including managing local photo shoots and testimonials for project stories
  • Managing the communication processes for sales promotions – print media and online – as well as driving Key Account Management related marketing activities
  • Supporting the marketing manager in ideating and implementing the refurbishment plan (in line with the allocated budget) as well as in developing target group oriented training concepts
  • Conducting sales trainings (products, marketing tools, promotion tools, launch campaigns) as well as managing customer trainings, local events and trade fairs
  • Structured local marketing planning, including budget proposal as well as a monthly cost report, as well as detailed local market researches
  • Development and deployment of local product launch processes with the Marketing Manager – also responsible for the local Product-Phase-Out process together with our headquarters


Desired Skills and Experience

  • Successful university degree, preferably with a specialization in the fields of Marketing
  • Sound knowledge and/or relevant work experience in the fields of lighting is preferable but not a must
  • Well versed in handling MS Office and SAP – for example for solid statistics which help local strategic marketing and sales decision
  • Ideally additional skills in graphic design as well as in the fields of Social Media and website maintenance
  • A great command of Dutch and English, both verbal and written, for the successful communication with our international customers
  • Passionate, self driven and creative personality who has a strong can-do-attitude and who is able and excited to work in a fast paced multicultural environment
