Nordeon is a new brand and at the same time a Lighting company with over 100 years of experience due to the acquisition of two Lighting businesses from Philips and lately the Vulkan & Hess outdoor businesses. Nordeon employs 600 people in Western Europe & USA and is using its extensive lighting experience and European production sites to create growth. This is being achieved by breakthrough innovative propositions and business models focusing on the B2B markets. We have no legacy but lots of experience, so we have no boundaries. We change the way products are developed, produced and brought to market.

This is why Nordeon has created InstallerDirect.com an online e-wholesale platform targeted exclusively at installers. This innovative new sales channel is multi-brand, so will also sell product of other manufacturers, and multi-category, so also non lighting products like connectors, cables etc.

Job Description

  • InstallerDirect.com is looking for a passionate Managing Director with full P&L responsibility that is not afraid to go against the flow
  • Lead the strategic direction and implementation, run the daily operation, motivate and steer the international team, develop the business and create partnerships with suppliers
  • The role is base in Springe, Germany, and will report to the CEO of Nordeon.

Your profile

  • Has a proven track record of successfully growing businesses and is able to motivate teams to go beyond the beaten path
  • Has around 9-12 years of working experience in general management, operations and/or marketing
  • Professional experience in B2B (electro-technical) wholesale business and/or in running online B2B platforms is a plus
  • Is English fluent and able to operate in international environments. French is a plus.
  • Pragmatic, assertive, can do attitude, has high energy levels and is energised by challenge – thrives in innovative, fast changing environments
  • Loves to win, likes to challenge, motivated by results
  • Autonomous, self propelling, proven pro active approach
  • Academic education
