The international LED professional Symposium +Expo or LpS, is a LED lighting technology event for lighting experts in industry and research. The main focus of the event is on general, industrial and architectural lighting. The combination of a three-day international exhibition and a multifaceted symposium and workshop program is ideal for companies in the component and module fields to meet new customers in the lighting domain and increase business.
The symposium covers LED and OLED lighting technologies for luminaires, lamps, modules and components. It focuses on new system approaches, new components, equipment and up- to-date design methodologies that companies from all over the world showcase at the exhibition.
EXHIBITION – 2,000m2 – From Technologies to Projects
Over 80 international exhibitors and more than 1,000 international visitors are expected at the LpS 2013. Leading Lighting Manufacturers, Component Manufacturers, Module Manufacturers, Distributors, Test Equipment Manufacturers, Production Equipment Manufacturers, Research Institutes, Testing Laboratories, Approval Laboratories and Lighting Organizations are invited to exhibit their newest products and technologies at the LpS 2013.

45 LECTURES – From Light Sources to Applications
The symposium sessions will feature international experts who will cover relevant technologies needed for successful LED lighting product development. Topics that are included are: LED and OLED technologies, Optics, Thermal Management, Electronics and Controls, Measurement and Standardization, Reliability, Cost and Production Issues, Design Methodologies.
6 WORKSHOPS – From Design to Standardization
Several interactive workshops led by leading lighting experts, provide in-depth information on important lighting topics. The topics covered in the workshops are: Standardization including Zhaga specifications; Designing and Manufacturing 3-D Lighting Systems and 3-D Printed Optics; Computer-based system design with modern design/configuration tools and test approaches for increased system reliability.
2 TECH-PANELS – From Ideas to Solutions
Tech-Panel participants are invited to discuss their ideas on future trends and lighting solutions with industry leaders and visionaries. The moderated round table discussions will help build a bridge between marketing and technology and lead to a deeper understanding of the needed technology approaches. They can also be used as a platform to ask and answer questions, especially on the topic of general lighting.
LIGHT ART PROJECT – From Imagination to Inspiration
Zumtobel will be presenting a contemporary LED light installation in the newly renovated Vorarlberg Museum in Bregenz. Discover the latest design trends and application requirements of a modern museum while taking the tour. Outside, you can enjoy the artistic light show on the façade of the building.
NETWORKING – From Visitors to Networkers
The inspiring atmosphere at the event is perfect for discussions, making new contacts and forming networks. A networking highlight is the cruise around Lake Constance aboard the MS Vorarlberg with dinner and a live band. This event is open to all symposium attendees, authors, exhibition visitors, exhibitors and journalists.
