Get Your Lighting Products Verified

The Lighting Industry Association (LIA) recognises that many claims by manufacturers are not necessarily the reality experienced by end-users and specifiers. To this end, they have launched a scheme whereby manufacturers can submit their products to be independently verified by the LIA laboratory. The press release below details the scheme which was launched on 19th November 2013.

In today’s competitive market the industry is faced with a wide choice of lighting product offers. But how can you be certain that the claimed specification of a product is true and realistic?

The LIA Laboratories can offer you the opportunity to have your product specifications confirmed and Verified as such via the LIA Laboratories Verified Certification.

This verification scheme independently measures and verifies the safety and performance of lighting products, lamps, modules and luminaire fixtures against the manufacturer’s performance claims.

The scheme firstly verifies basic safety then initial “performance verification” of manufacturer’s specifications and packaging claims and then “life” verification to 2000 hours.

Products meeting their claims and scheme requirements are entitled to carry the LIA Laboratories Verified Certification Mark. The scheme operates in partnership with the Energy Saving Trust (EST) who permits the use of their product approval branding on all compliant products.

All certified products will be promoted through the new dedicated website. So end users, lighting professionals, consumers and your competitors can quickly and easily source those products that meet the manufacturer’s claims.

Getting your products independently verified will give you confidence and your end user peace of mind with regards to your products performance.
