Director Lighting Applications – Zumtobel Group

Your Duties

Manage product portfolio for Zumtobel Lighting North America with a focus on lighting applications and market requirements. Be “the expert” on lighting applications and products for Zumtobel North America both internally and to our clients.

• Provide technical support and lighting design expertise to internal sales and marketing teams,  our external sales agents as well as specifiers to include architects, lighting designers, et al.
• Develop and deliver high-end applications based product presentations to end-users, lighting designers and lighting reps
• Develop tailored sales stories in coordination with the  Sales and Marketing  targeting specific applications, market channels and market segments
• Train the marketing and sales force on Zumtobel Lighting products
• Product management including, but not limited to product features, photometry requirements, pricing, market positioning and budgeting
• Communicate with product managers world-wide to coordinate our product pipelines for a global product portfolio keeping local UL and code requirements in mind
• Develop a feature set and product portfolio to introduce Zumtobel lighting controls into the North American market
• Work with the engineering product development team on innovative new product  and application ideas
• Develop a strategy for the product portfolio in North American in conjunction with the management team

Your Profile

• Industrial Design or Lighting Design degree or equivalent in work experience
• Working Knowledge of lighting design calculation software
• Working knowledge of Photoshop
• Working knowledge of Excel
• Knowledge of LEED requirements

• Excellent presentation skills
• Experience working within cross-functional teams in both leadership and team member roles
• Ability to work with and understand reflected ceiling plan drawings
• Familiarity with REVIT and/or other software equivalents
