Due to increasing demand from their existing customer base for lighting supplies, this innovative organisation now feel it is appropriate to hire an ambitious sales professional to spearhead this operation.

The Business Development Manager will report directly into the Managing Director and be responsible for the development of new business with the existing account base as well as creating new partnerships. By negotiating contracts with current and new manufacturers, you will build long-lasting relationships and add considerable value to the bottom line. This is a brand new venture for the business so you will use your knowledge of the lighting market to create and implement strategy in line with the businesses objectives. Initially, this is a stand-alone position, but it is the ambition of the business to grow this division, with the successful candidate being responsible for the development and management of a new team.

· A proven sales track record within the lighting industry, working with manufacturers, distributors and the wholesale trade.
· The ability to manage and motivate others within a sales environment.
· A can-do, will-do attitude whilst having a professional and modest demeanour.
· Live within a commutable distance to the Manchester office.
