BMW to Display Laser Headlights and OLED Tail lights at CES

BMW will be lighting up CES 2015 with the help of smart lasers and OLED technology. The company plans to debut a new prototype that utilizes both smart laser headlights and OLED tail lights.

At CES 2015 the company’s concept car will use its various sensors and data sources to shape the laser light thrown in front of the car appropriately for the terrain. The technology allows vehicles to adjust the upward and downward angle of the headlight when going up a hill and shorten the throw in a well-lit city. The biggest advantage? BMW can keep the light from shining into other drivers vehicles, creating a safer night time environment for all drivers.
