Manchester’s new LED street lights are 60% more energy-efficient and will save over £2 million a year. Plus they’ll incorporate a dynamic remote monitoring and control system. The lighting levels can be controlled to optimise energy usage and to respond to emergencies, traffic flow and large crowds, such as football matches.
